Who Is Net Set GO For?
Suncorp Net Set GO is a fun, safe, social and active program for girls and boys aged 5 to 10 years old. Children of all abilities are welcome to join the program and it’s a great place for beginner’s netball as the foundational skills are taught from the start. Through Net Set GO your child will have a positive introduction to netball whilst learning the basic skills of the sport in a fun and friendly environment.
About Net Set GO
The Net Set GO program is delivered through the various netball associations in Australia. Raiders Netball Club is a member of the Redlands Netball Association (RNA) and provides the Net Set Go program for young players.
Net Set GO is divided into three programs – Net, Set and GO, meaning that your child will learn at a pace that’s right for their age and ability (NB: These age brackets are only a guideline for centres and coaches).
Net Program
The Net program is designed for 5 to 7 year olds and teaches fundamental motor skills through dance, music and games. The Net program involves one weekday training session and is offered in the afternoon at Raiders Netball Club training courts in Thorneside.
Children are registered through the Net Set GO website. The cost is $120 which covers the weekly training sessions, player insurance and includes a participants pack (free training shirt and ball).
Players are encouraged to wear their Net Set GO t-shirt and comfy shorts or skort suitable for running in as well as sneakers. And remember to bring a hat and water bottle.

What Will My Child Learn?
Each week your child will take part in skill based activities and simple games that will help them develop fundamental movement skills, as well as important social skills like team work. Each session will be lead by an accredited coach, using modified equipment.
The skills taught through Net Set GO include:
- Throwing, passing and catching
- Taking off and landing
- Pivoting
- Changing direction
